A film director takes a film producer to convince her on the scene of the film that he would like to see her finance. During the two days they will spend together, in the middle of January, in this seaside resort beaten by the winds, he reads his scenario. Gradually the strange story of this upcoming film, which may never be shot, finds, in this producer specializing in films of which nobody wants, an intimate and singular echo.

Sets in Paris in 1947, after the Second World War. Over the course of a decade, Dior forges an empire alongside Raymonde Zehnacker, and falls head over heels in love with a much younger man, Jacques Benita.

The story takes place in 1910 in Montreal, Quebec, while a killer terrorized the city. In the same period, Florence and Camille Courval, two sisters originating in French Manitoba inherit the Eden Museum, where statues of wax in connection with criminal news are housed.
